Workers Compensation Claims
RLI has partnered with Gallagher Bassett Services to handle our workers’ compensation
claims. Gallagher Bassett Services is a global claim handling organization with more than 50
years of risk management experience. The Gallagher Bassett claim professionals will investigate
and handle all aspects of your workers compensation claims, but your claims will be overseen
by RLI Claim Manager, Christina Page, who has 41 years of claim experience.

Ira Sussman
Assistant Vice President of Claims
For more than 20 years, Ira Sussman has been involved in A&E claims as a defense attorney and
claims litigation manager. He spent eight years as a partner in a Chicago area law firm where he
specialized in construction law, litigation and insurance coverage. Ira handled the defense of design
defect and personal injury suits filed against architects and engineers. He also advised insurers
on coverage issues and helped architects and engineers resolve disputes at insured construction
projects. He also previously served as senior surety claims counsel with Safeco Surety, assessing
exposure to claims presented by owners, general contractors and others in a 26-state region.
He joined RLI in 2008 and supervises the surety and RDP claims staff at RLI. Ira oversees all
reported claims and pre-claim activities. He has a bachelor of arts from Roosevelt University,
and a law degree from the Chicago Kent College of Law.
