RLI Design Professionals offers a 10% premium credit to A&E firms participating in the Design Professionals Learning Events (DPLE) risk management education program. Up to 10 premium credits must be earned annually through a combination of the below:

  • Registering the firm’s design professionals for DPLE courses and enroll all professionals in monthly eNewsletters (Three (3) premium credits)
  • Participating in the RLI DPLE seminars & webinars. Earn three (3) premium credits per person per one-hour program. Course attendance is unlimited, but a maximum of nine (9) credits per firm per year is allowed for a single course.
  • Completing a self-analysis through a Procedure Review (Four (4) premium credits per review)
  • Completing the Financial Management Worksheet and reviewing design industry best practices (10 premium credits)
  • Continuing Education provided by other organizations such as AIA, ACEC, and NSPE or an approved RDP-appointed broker. Prior approval by RLI required; premium credits earned determined upon approval.

To receive premium credits, enroll all the firm’s professionals through the completion of the DPLE Enrollment Roster. Enrollees will receive email newsletters providing information on RLI-sponsored risk management program offerings and Litigation Alerts on emerging court decisions or state laws affecting your firm’s areas of practice. Email addresses collected will only be used to communicate information related to RLI Design Professionals and will not be sold or given to another party.

For premium credits to be earned, the primary representative of the policyholder, who will receive all risk management communications, should ensure that at least one of the individuals registered for the DPLE participate in a minimum of one DPLE seminar/webinar per year. Additional premium credits may be earned through the options listed above. Please note, up to eight (8) premium credits earned in excess of the 10 required credits may be carried over to the following policy year.
